KENNER, La. — The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shootout in Kenner.
Around noon on Tuesday, a large police presence was visible near the intersection of Airline Hwy. and Wilker Neal Ave.
According to JPSO, officers were responding to a call of shots fired when one suspect supposedly barricaded himself inside of a house in the 1000 block of Wilker Neal Ave.
The second shooter was arrested outside of the home.
After about an hour, SWAT was able to breach the home. At that time, it was discovered that the home was empty, and the suspect had fled on foot.
