NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – On the 4th day of Giving, Our Christmas Elf, Kenny Lopez surprises a woman who’s boyfriend, Travis Burns was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident last Christmas.
Kenny teamed up with The Spa at The Windsor Court Hotel to treat Laura Biggs to an 80-minute Swedish massage. Laura’s mom, Holly e-mailed Kenny a few weeks ago asking Kenny if he could spread some Christmas cheer for her daughter.
Holly told her daughter that they were just going to the Windsor Court Hotel to have a cup of coffee. That’s when Sharla Martin at The Spa at the Windsor Court Hotel and Kenny surprised Laura. The surprises continue! They then surprised her mother with a massage too.
“This is such a surprise. It has been a rough year. You are very kind. It definitely makes Christmas more joyful,” Laura said.
“Our whole philosophy is take whatever weight is on their shoulders and have them leave it at the door. Let them breathe. For us, we’re the ones getting the gift of having them here and letting us take care of them,” Martin said.
