NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The party is over. Lenten season is here. And if you’re in a rush this Ash Wednesday, head on over to the Munholland United Methodist Church on Metairie road.
They’ve seen about 150 people, so far. They’ll be offering drive-thru blessings until 1 p.m.
Just pull into the parking lot, multiple people who can administer the ashes are standing outside. They’re also offering blessings and a lent season survival kit. A devotional guide that outlines prayers and practices you can do during lent.
If you’re still trying to figure out what you want to do for lent, you can talk to ministers there too.
The event is open to anyone. It doesn’t matter what denomination you are.
