NEW ORLEANS – A fatal shooting along South Claiborne Avenue stopped traffic this afternoon.
Shots rang out just after 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of First Street and Claiborne, according to the NOPD.
Responding officers found a man lying in the neutral ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the NOPD.
The left lane of Westbound Claiborne was closed as officers responded to the scene.
