NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Guess who’s in New Orleans?  Saved By the Bell actor and Extra  TV host, Mario Lopez.  We’ve been following his adventures in New Orleans on Twitter and Instagram.

So far while he’s been in The Big Easy, he’s been hanging at Pat O’s to drink some hurricanes, listening to great jazz at DBA on Frenchmen Street, he’s been eating at Avo and Stanley’s, and of course no trip would be complete without a stop at the world-famous Cafe du Monde for beignets.

Lopez even tweeted that he stopped at St. Louis Cathedral, but he couldn’t get in because it was locked. Try again, Mario. It is beautiful inside!

No word yet on why exactly he’s in town. Is he filming a movie? A TV show? We do know, nobody ever needs a real reason to visit our wonderful city! We’re happy he’s loving our city as much as we do!
