With the threat of the Wuhan Coronavirus lingering in Louisiana, the New Orleans International Airport released the following statement to help ease the public’s concern.

The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is currently monitoring impacts of Coronavirus. At this time, since we do not have direct service to or from China, no additional screening measures are taking place at MSY. While the Center for Disease Control (CDC) reports that it may expand screenings at additional airports in the future, MSY has not been included in that grouping. As we continue to monitor the situation for changes, we will comply with any directives from health officials from the New Orleans Health Department (NOHD), the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) and the CDC. Those traveling to or from the impacted areas are advised to pay attention to those notices and take any necessary precautions.
