NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Former New Orleans Saint Darren Sharper has entered into a new plea agreement with federal prosecutors.
Sharper accepted the new agreement at a hearing in federal court on Tuesday before Judge Jane Triche Milazzo.
It was Judge Milazzo who refused to sign off on the original plea agreement that had been accepted in several states where Sharper had been accused of drugging and raping women.
Sharper will now be formally sentenced on June 16, 2016.
The following stipulations have been added to the new agreement:
- Parties agree sentencing guidelines set forth by U.S. The U.S. probation office of 188 to 235 months imprisonment
- Sharper has agreed to cooperate and submit to interviews.
- The U.S. Attorney may bring to the attention of the court sharper’s cooperation during sentencing if deemed substantial.
- The subject of sharper’s cooperation will be at the discretion of the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
