NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting and carjacking in Mid-City.
Investigators say they were called about midnight to the 300 block of S. Jefferson Davis Parkway, where they found the body of a man lying in the middle of the street.
He had been shot several times.
Police believe that the shooting started at the victim’s home on Palmyra Street and ended on Jefferson Davis Parkway.
Officers say that the victim’s car, a 2015, silver, four-door Infiniti with Louisiana license plate WXG810 was taken during the incident.
Police aren’t releasing any other information at this time.
