METAIRIE, LA (WGNO) — A document filed in St. Bernard Parish Thursday morning goes into greater detail about the case of state prosecutors against David Peralta, St. Bernard’s parish president.
The details are called “other bad acts” and accuse Peralta of a variety of things from having a gambling addiction to surfing porn on his work computer.
The document also claims Peralta had 300 photos of his wife that were taken during sexual encounters and that he considered posting the photos on a website.
Peralta faces a sexual battery charge involving an alleged attack on his wife in 2013. The couple divorced the following year.
In the documents filed Thursday, Prosecutors revealed some of the evidence they say will prove the attack really happened and was not part of any sexual role-playing.
Part of the filing included a copy of a handwritten note that prosecutors say Peralta wrote for his wife. It reads, “Your (sic) going to be a rape victim. Put on heels, skirt, and a blouse you don’t care if it gets ruined. Text me when you are ready and come downstairs.”
