New Orleans (WGNO)–The Greater New Orleans Housing Alliance is taking a stand against AirBNB.
The Alliance says the popular short-term rental app is driving up housing prices for long-term residents because it takes entire houses off the market and drives up rent among other issues.
The group also worries that resources will be used to police short-term rentals instead of enforcing codes which can improve substandard living conditions.
