NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Millionaire Robert Durst pleaded not guilty Tuesday to a federal gun charge stemming from his March arrest at a New Orleans hotel.

The charge carries a max sentence of 10 years and a $250,000 fine.

He will appear in court on that charge June 22, 2015.

Less than a week ago, Durst pleaded not guilty to state drug and gun charges. He’ll appear in court on those charges May 7, 2015.

No cell phones were allowed in the court Tuesday and Durst appeared to be frail. He had to be helped when walking and standing.

Federal agents along with New Orleans police arrested Durst March 14 for the murder of his longtime friend and crime writer Susan Berman. At the time of his arrest, Durst was staying under a false name and carrying a fake driver’s license. A .38-caliber revolver and marijuana was found in Durst’s hotel room at the time of his arrest, according to New Orleans Police Department records.
