BATON ROUGE, La. (WGNO) – St. Bernard Parish President David Peralta has been indicted by a Baton Rouge grand jury on charges that he used campaign funds to support a gambling habit.
The indictment charges Peralta with three counts of perjury and three counts of filing false public records.
Peralta turned himself in Wednesday afternoon to East Baton Rouge Parish jail. He is due back in court Thursday morning.
