NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The man wanted for fatally hitting a bicyclist last week in the Marigny turned himself into police Monday.

45-year-old Curtis Joseph Turner will be charged with one count of manslaughter and one count of felony hit-and-run.

Authorities say on Monday, July 7, Turner struck Benjamin Gregory, 37, in the 600 block of Elysian Fields Ave.  According to police, Gregory was traveling lake bound on his bike in the far right lane when he was struck around 10:30 p.m. Gregory died on the scene.
