THIBODAUX, La. (WGNO) – A Thibodaux woman was arrested this week for reportedly stealing more than $6,000 from her employer.
According to Thibodaux Police, Tralvaunta Bentley, 20, was working at a business in the 400 block of North Canal Boulevard. The investigation started after the cash in her register kept coming up short during her shifts. She’s accused of stealing more than $6,000 from July 13 to July 29.
When confronted, Bentley allegedly confessed to stealing the money. She told police she stole it to pay for her braces and her education.
She was arrested for felony theft and booked Monday into the Lafourche Parish Jail. She was released the same day on a $3,500 bond.
