NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry announced the arrest of three men on more than 550 counts of possession and distribution of child pornography.
Sixty-six year old Darrell Ricks of Covington was arrested on 250 counts of pornography involving juveniles under the age of 13, according to a press release.
Thirty-one year old Denham Springs resident Michael Clark faces 300 counts of possession of sexual abuse images or videos of children, and thirty-one year old Ahmed Elsayed Mahm Ibrahim of Greenwell Springs has been charged with pornography involving juveniles and computer-aided solicitation of a minor.
Clark also faces charges of four counts of production of sexual abuse images and/or videos of children, three counts of distribution of sexual abuse images and/or videos of children under the age of 13, and one count of molestation of a juvenile.
Ricks was arrested and booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail, while Clark landed in the Livingston Parish Jail, and Ibrahim was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison.
The Louisiana Bureau of Investigation Cyber Crime Unit, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Federal Bureau of Investigations worked in conjunction with Louisiana State Police and the Sheriff’s Departments of St. Tammany, Livingston, and East Baton Rouge Parishes to capture the three men.
“Protecting our State’s children from predators remains a main focus of my office,” Landry said. “We will continue to investigate, arrest, and bring to justice those who exploit children.”
