NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The Uptown plastic surgeon accused of rape and video voyeurism in a high-profile indictment will be able to visit his children after a judge lifted a protective order that prevented Dr. Alireza Sadeghi from seeing his three kids.
Sadeghi, founder of the Aesthetic & Reconstructive Breast Center on Prytania Street, was indicted May 12 on the above charges. He has maintained his innocence from Day 1 and says it all stems from a bitter personal dispute with the person who has accused him.
Prosecutors have said pictures found on Sadeghi’s phone led to the voyeurism charges, but Sadeghi maintains that those photos were before and after pictures of patients.
Sadeghi’s lawyers said the patients approved the photos and that the allegations against him are an attempt to tarnish Sadeghi’s reputation amid a bitter personal dispute with the person who has accused him of rape.
The protective order barring Sadeghi from contact with his accuser is still in place. The new order from the judge only lifts the “stay away” order for his three children, Sadeghi’s lawyers said.
