NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)- tasc Performance and Team Gleason come together to host the first ever Team Gleason “Inspire” T-Shirt Design Contest.
The two local groups are calling on all artists and designers to come up with a new Team Gleason graphic design. The winning design will be screen printed and featured on a tasc Performance bamboo and organic cotton t-shirt and sold online at www.tascperformance.com with proceeds going to Team Gleason.
The winning artist will win a $500 tasc Performance gift card and a signed Steve Gleason jersey. Semi finalists will receive a swag bag with signed Gleason picture, tasc Performance online store discount codes, koozies and other swag.
Team Gleason T-Shirts have become a movement to gain awareness and support for the fight against ALS. The various designs have been worn by famous supporters such as Drew Brees, Eddie Vedder and Scott Fujita.
“tasc Performance has always been a big fan and supporter of Team Gleason and what they do to raise awareness for ALS and the community,” tasc Performance Marketing Director Brooks Young said. “We wanted to do something unique that would bring the culture of New Orleans to life through our apparel, while providing an opportunity for the proceeds to go back to the foundation. A contest seemed like the perfect opportunity to showcase the talents of local artists and bring their work to life in a inspirational way.”
The contest began on November 18th and will conclude on December 5th. Once the contest concludes the finalist will be revealed on the tasc Performance website and social media. Voting will be done via Facebook through Team Gleason and tasc Performance. On December 12th, the winner will be announced, and the winning design will be available for purchase.
“We’re thrilled to join forces with tasc to create a new Team Gleason t-shirt design,” Team Gleason Assistant Executive Director Blair Casey said. “tasc has been a loyal supporter of our organization for many years and we’re excited for the opportunity to engage artists with our mission through this contest.”
Information on the contest and how to submit design will be available on www.tascperformance.com.
