SLIDELL, La. (WGNO) — On Wednesday, the St.Tammany Corporation was given 100, 000 dollars for the development plan of a sports complex in Slidell.

At 11:30 a.m., Peninsula Pacific Entertainment presented St. Tammany Corporations CEO, Chris Masingill with a check for $100,000 to initiate the development plan for the project.

The money is to help initiate a comprehensive development plan and study. The goal is to explore how a potential casino would impact the local economy, and the size and scope of the potential complex– using similar projects across the country as a reference.
