BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Gov. Jeff Landry signed several bills on Tuesday, May 28 at the Louisiana State Capitol.
The governor signed bills on education, safety, health, economy and the New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board.
“What today symbolizes is the continual promise we made to the people of Louisiana, not only me but many of the legislators that are here today as well, in working through public safety issues, working through educational issues to let teachers teach and work through economic issues as well,” said Landry.
Landry has already signed Senate Bill 276, which makes abortion-inducing pills, mifepristone and misoprostol Schedule IV controlled dangerous substances in Louisiana. He had a ceremonial signing for it on Tuesday.
