KENNER, La. (WGNO) — A water main break in Kenner led to a road closure on Thursday, May 9.

The Kenner Police Department reported the water main at the intersection of West Esplanade and Loyola avenues broke following a car crash in the area.

Crews are working to make repairs, which are expected to last multiple hours.

KPD officers said the 3400 block of Loyola Avenue southbound is closed until further notice and residents are being advised to avoid the area.

According to the KPD, “There are nearby businesses that are without water service.”
