METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, along with Jefferson Parish Fire Department, is investigating a house fire that left a person dead in Metairie on Thursday, April 11.
Officials with JPSO said they responded to a fire with a fatality in the 800 block of Airline Park Boulevard around 7:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, they saw an active fire at the location. After extinguishing the fire, an unresponsive victim was located inside the residence.
No further details were provided. This is an ongoing investigation.
