LAFOURCHE PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A motorcyclist is dead after a crash on a Lafourche Parish highway, according to the Louisiana State Police.
Around 1 a.m. on Sunday, May 19, troopers said they responded to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Louisiana Highway 20 near Farmer Lane.
An investigation revealed that 30-year-old Dustin Craven was headed south on the highway on a Harley-Davidson Street Glide. For unknown reasons, the Craven went off the road, hit a utility pole and was thrown off the vehicle.
He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
“While the cause of this crash remains under investigation, being sober, attentive, and alert while on the road is essential. Doing so can help prevent crashes, ensure safety, and enable quick responses to potential hazards,” said LSP Troop C officials.
