NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A boil water advisory was issued for a limited portion of New Orleans’ Westbank, which includes the entire lower coast of Algiers, on Saturday, April 13.
According to the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans, water pressures in the area fell below 20 pounds per square inch due to a hydrant repair.
The advisory was issued as a precaution.
Residents in the affected areas are advised to use bottled or boiled tap water to drink, cook, clean food or brush teeth.
The SWBNO will notify residents when the boil water advisory is canceled.
