City of New Orleans offering funding for organizations supporting victims of crimes

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The City of New Orleans is offering funding for organizations that support and aid victims of violent and non-violent crimes on Tuesday, March 5.

City officials reported a Notice of Funding Availability for “Victims and Survivors Assistance,” a project funded by $225,000 of the city’s American Rescue Plan Act allocation.

The deadline to apply for the available funding is Friday, April 5. A virtual information session will be held for those interested on Wednesday, March 20.

Funded areas include:

City officials encourage proposals that “enhance services and promote well-being for victims and survivors of violent and non-violent crime now and in the future.”

The Victims and Survivors Assistance application is available Tuesday, March 5, on the Office of Criminal Justice Coordination’s website.
