NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Orleans Parish District Attorney Jason Williams held a news conference Thursday, April 18, to address a “disturbing scam” targeting New Orleans residents.

According to Williams, unknown sources have made fraudulent phone calls claiming that residents have failed to respond to jury summonses.

As a result, Williams is encouraging residents to remain vigilant on the matter and additional scams impacting the public.
