NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A former New Orleans bounce group has filed a copyright infringement lawsuit against Big Freedia and Beyonce.

The plaintiffs in the case, Tessa Avie, Keva Bourgeois, Henri Braggs, and Brian Clark, made up the former New Orleans group Da Showstoppaz, according to the lawsuit.

The lawsuit alleges parts of Da Showstoppaz’s song “Release A Wiggle” were used without permission in Big Freedia’s song “Explode” and was later sampled in Beyonce’s song “Break My Soul.”

The lawsuit has been filed in federal court.
