IV Waste, Richard’s Disposal begin collection services in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — IV Waste and partner Richard’s Disposal began a seven-year agreement on April 1.

Under the contract, both companies will introduce new equipment to facilitate the collection of bulk waste and furniture.

City of New Orleans officials say the equipment uses a real-time GPS tracking system, 360-degree view camera system and route management technologies.

“We are excited for the start of the new Area 1 and Area 4 collection contracts, which will provide for service parity across the city,” said Director of Sanitation Matt Torri. “This administration has shown its commitment to cleaning up our city and providing much-needed, enhanced services for our residents.”

Founder and CEO of Richards Disposal, Alvin Richard, Jr. says it is exciting to continue providing service to “the vibrant Algiers community.”
