NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Jesuit fell short in its bid to win its first state championship since 2013. The Blue Jays lost a low-scoring contest to Catholic of Baton Rouge, 14-10 – a team that has played in five consecutive state title games as the defending Division I champions.
The Blue Jays (10-1), led by first-year Jesuit coach Ryan Manale, could not overcome a four-point halftime deficit to the Bears (12-1) after a scoreless second half.
