NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)— Officials have identified a man who was found dead inside a vehicle on the West Bank on Tuesday night.

The New Orleans Coroner says 27-year-old Denzell Marshall died after being shot in the head in the Algiers neighborhood.

Officers with the New Orleans Police Department say just after 9 p.m. detectives responded to the 3100 block of Rue Parc Fontaine where a man was found unresponsive inside a vehicle.

The victim, later determined to be Marshall, died at the scene. His death has been ruled a homicide and remains under investigation.
