NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The historic Dew Drop Inn has local musicians and attendees come out every Wednesday night for a free, lively jam session from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m., and sometimes even later.
According to host DC Paul, “The Drop In” is the most exciting, premiere weekly jam session in New Orleans. Held at the Dew Drop Inn, the jam session is totally unplanned and unrehearsed in order to see “magic” and “organic” moments that come from the musicians’ freedom to express themselves.
Despite the live entertainment, the show remains free to encourage the community to come and enjoy the show, with the doors opening up for guests at 8 p.m.
Paul says that, to keep the show free, folks should invite friends and show up expecting to have a good time while supporting the bar and the kitchen.
