NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Officials with the New Orleans Public Library announced that two “award-winning” literacy programs will be available at two local libraries during the spring.

Library officials said Prime Time’s Prime Time Preschool and Prime Time Family programs will be coming to New Orleans starting in March.

According to a release, the six-week programs were made by the Louisiana Endowment for the Humanities and include 90-minute sessions to “bring families together through literature and learning.”

At the sessions, library leaders said attendees can expect a free meal, a complimentary book, read-alouds, discussions and other activities that relate to a theme.

Prime Time Preschool is designed for children between the ages of 3 and 5 and will start on March 6 at the Nora Navra Library at 1902 St. Bernard Ave.

Prime Time Family is designed for children between the ages of 6 and 10 and will start on March 7 at the Rosa Keller Library at 4300 S. Broad St.

According to a release, registration is required. For more information, visit the New Orleans Public Library website.
