REPORT: Cedric Richmond expected to leave White House

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO)— On Monday, news about former Louisiana Congressman Cedric Richmond was announced on Twitter.

New York Times political reporter Jonathan Martin announced that Richmond is expected to leave the White House next month.

White House Regional Communications Director Dhara Nayyar later confirmed the news, saying Richmond will join the DNC as a senior advisor ahead of the midterm elections.

Richmond issued a statement following the announcement, stating:
