BATON ROUGE – It was a big night for many Louisiana Politicians, including Senator Bill Cassidy, who was re-elected for a second term. More than one million Louisiana residents voted to re-elect Dr. Cassidy, giving him 59% of the votes.

Shreveport Mayor Adrian Perkins came in second, with 393,000 votes. Mayor Perkins received 19% of the votes, which was not enough for a runoff. Mayor Perkins says he will continue to fight for the citizens of Shreveport.
