ST. JAMES PARISH, La. (WGNO) — A boil water advisory has been issued for part of St. James Parish on Monday, July 8.
Parish officials said the advisory comes after emergency repairs were made to a water line.
They said the advisory impacts residents on Apple Street, Melon Road, Guidry Lane, Guidry Street and Highway 20 in Vacherie between Apple Street and Dicks Farm Road.
Parish officials are advising residents to boil their water for two minutes before using it to make ice, brush their teeth or prepare food.
The advisory will remain in place until further notice.
