GARYVILLE, La. (WGNO) — Troopers with the Louisiana State Police are investigating a crash that left a Reserve man dead in Garyville on Thursday, May 9.

The LSP reported the crash happened on U.S. 61 near Louisiana 54 around 10:40 p.m.

They said an initial investigation shows 44-year-old Conrad Jones was driving a Ford north on U.S. 61 when it traveled off the road and into a ditch before rolling over.

Jones suffered fatal injuries and was taken to a hospital, where he later died. According to the LSP, Jones was not restrained at the time of the crash.

LSP officials said the investigation is ongoing, and a routine toxicology sample was collected.
