SLIDELL, La. (WGNO) — Thousands of people in Slidell are under a precautionary boil water advisory after a contractor hit a water main on Thursday, March 14.
St. Tammany Parish officials said the advisory will impact the Cross Gates Water System and affects nearly 10,000 residents.
They said the advisory comes after a contractor hit a water main, leading to a drop in water pressure.
Parish officials said the advisory will remain in effect until further notice, and crews are working to restore water pressure.
