Mailman impostor with a pistol and motorcycle riding purse snatchers in latest WOJ report

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans police are trying to find whoever posed as a mailman and robbed a woman in Lamanche Street.

According to police, the impostor was carrying a package and approached the woman then pulled a gun.  He forced her into her home and that’s when two accomplices arrived.

Together, according to police, the trio stole the woman’s money and a gun.  Police have not named any suspects in the case.  But they are looking for a 22-year-old woman named Shajada Harrison.  They say she may have vital information about the case.

Wednesday’s Wheel of Justice also included the search for a pair of purse snatching suspects who police say were riding a motorcycle during their attack.

They say the pair ran up behind a woman who was riding a bicycle and stole her purse.  The attack happened in the 900 block of Bienville Street.

Detectives were able to location some surveillance camera footage that they say shows the pair.
