NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — Good Morning, New Orleans! Warmer temperatures have arrived, and it will feel more like spring as we enter the second half of the week. Humidity will also be going up through the week which means fog may be possible by Thursday morning.

Temperatures have been warmer overnight with lows in mid 50s north and low 60s south this morning. Highs will continue to warm up tomorrow, hitting the upper 70s to low 80s. Similar temperatures are expected for the rest of the week.

Isolated showers are possible Wednesday and Thursday with a 20 to 30 percent chance of rain each day. Then, more widespread activity is in the forecast Friday through Sunday with rain chances at 50 to 60 percent.

There is still a question as to where the heaviest rain sets up through the weekend. Models been back and forth with how far south this next system goes, and that will be a big factor in the timing and forecast rainfall totals. It’s possible a lot of the activity stays just north of our area, but that will be something to watch over the next few days.
