NEW ORLEANS, LA (WGNO) — On election day, Louisiana voters will choose all six of our U.S. House representatives.
In the areas affecting our viewers, First District incumbent, republican Steve Scalise, has the most at stake.
As house majority whip, he’s the house majority leader’s right-hand man.
Democrats Lee Ann Dugas, Danil Ezekiel Faust and Joe Swider Howard are among the candidates vying for his seat.
In the Second District, democrat Cedric Richmond will seek his fourth term in congress.
Richmond represents New Orleans and surrounding areas, reaching all the way to Baton Rouge.
Current mayor-president of East Baton Rouge Parish, democrat Kip Holden, is among those challenging Richmond’s seat.
Incumbent republican Garret Graves, who defeated Edwin Edwards in the 2014 run-off, will go for a second term representing Louisiana’s Sixth District.
He’s facing off again republican Robert Lamar Bell and democrats Richard Lieberman and Jermaine Sampson, among others.
