NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – He’s the guy who gives kids goosebumps.

That’s because he’s the writer who gives the world the books called Goosebumps.

He’s R.L. Stine.

WGNO News with a Twist features reporter Wild Bill Wood found him at New Orleans Waldorf School.

The kids there got the chance to see and hear their literary hero because they won a summer reading contest at New Orleans Public Library.

In the middle of their meeting the man whose books they’ve read, like something right out of one of the 400 million books he’s sold, story weather rolled into the school.

The book party moved inside for questions and answers.

And quite a few autographs.

If you’d like to meet R. L. Stine, he’s appearing at the main branch of the New Orleans Public Library.
