New Orleans (WGNO)–The man accused of shooting a Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s deputy will be arraigned in court today.

Javis Hardy is accused of shooting Deputy Stephen Arnold during a raid in the Lower Ninth Ward two weeks ago.

Arnold was serving a warrant when he was shot five times including once in the neck.

Hardy is facing attempted first degree murder and narcotics charges.
