METAIRIE, LA (WGNO) — The New Orleans Zephyrs have yet to announce the team’s new name, but we have it on good authority that Boudreaux and Clotile are safe to stick around regardless of the final decision. Which brings us to the jerseys the team will wear this Friday night.  Fans will find a giant nutria face staring right at them.
It’s one night only, and the nutria jerseys are part of a silent auction fundraiser with Children’s Hospital. Here’s how it works.  Each player will be wearing one of the jerseys.  Fans can bid on their favorite players’ jerseys, and if you’re a high bidder, not only do you get the jersey, you can also have it signed by the player — on the field! So get out to the Shrine on Airline for Friday night’s game against the Iowa Cubs!
