UNO main campus closed Monday after student makes threats

UPDATE: School officials say the campus will reopen at 5 p.m. Monday.

NEW ORLEANS– Classes at the University of New Orleans are cancelled for Monday, March 12th.

This, after campus authorities say that one student made threats against the University and two other students.

UNO student Nicholas Heard issued direct threats against specific students at 5:30 p.m. on March 11, according to the NOPD.

Heard was arrested and charged with terrorizing.
