ARABI, La. (WGNO) — State and local officials continue to assess the damage of a tornado that left thousands without power on Tuesday, March 22.
On Wednesday afternoon, Entergy provided an update to affected customers in the region. Here are some keynotes from Entergy:
- People in New Orleans East who remain without power should have power restored sometime Wednesday night if it is safe to return their service
- About 1,500 of Arabi’s affected customers can expect to have power restored Wednesday night with the remainder anticipated to receive power on Thursday
Entergy reports nearly 25,000 customers were without power because of Tuesday’s storms. By Wednesday afternoon, that number dropped to about 2,800.
