New reward but no arrests in Jefferson triple murder

JEFFERSON, La. (WGNO) — Nearly six weeks after a triple murder in Jefferson Parish, there’s a higher reward but no arrests. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

Jefferson Parish deputies got the call around 10:30 in the morning on April 3. In a vacant lot, near the corner of Scott Street and Shrewsbury Road, behind some brush and inside two tents, deputies found the bodies of three people.

A few days later, they were identified as Marcey Vincent, Warren Fairley and Mindy Ann Robert. All three had been shot to death.

According to Jefferson Parish Sheriff Joe Lopinto, the murders happened within about 48 hours of the discovery of the bodies. At the scene, he told reporters that the shootings were not a drive-by or a murder suicide.

Crimestoppers usually offers a $2,500 reward in homicide cases. But the reward can be doubled when more than one person is killed. Within days of the crime, the reward in this case was increased to $5,000.
