NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is trying to locate the driver and car that police say were involved in a hit and run earlier this month. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.

According to police, the hit-and-run happened on May 4 near the intersection of Constance Street and Jackson Avenue. Surveillance footage provided by police shows much of what happened.

The video shows traffic slowing as cars approach the intersection, but one car is seen veering into a car along the curb. The driver gets out and inspects the damage, but according to police, did not report the crash or leave a note. Moments after the impact, the driver is seen returning to his car.

According to police, the driver had a red Ford Edge. It’s just the latest hit-and-run in the Garden District. In a previous Wheel of Justice report, we showed you another case that happened just blocks from this most recent one. There’s no indication that the cases are relates, but at last word both remained unsolved.

If you have information that could help police solve either case, call Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111. You don’t have to reveal your name or testify in court, and you could be eligible to earn a cash reward.

So far, more than 460 people have been booked after their cases rolled on the Wheel of Justice.
