WOJ: Partying Prowler? Possible beer bottles in hand of accused thief

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — New Orleans police released video of a man who is accused of stealing money from a home in the 4800 block of Tchoupitoulas Street.  According to police, a woman who lives in a home said she discovered money was missing from her purse when she awoke.  They also say she was unsure if she left her door unlocked.  Surveillance footage shows the man who police say is responsible for entering the home and taking the cash.  But was he headed to — or from — a party?  Click on the video button above for details.

Wednesday’s Wheel of Justice report also included the search for a masked gunman who opened fire on two people in Laplace.  One of the victims was able to drive to another location and contact sheriff’s deputies.  The attack happened on West 2nd Street.

Finally, Wednesday’s report included the search for a man named Taurus Hale.  According to police, he’s accused of trying to rob and kill a man on West Coronet Court last Sunday morning.  Part of the investigation also includes details about a fight over Hale’s gun.  More information is available in the video above.
