SEATTLE (WGNO) — Angel Reese makes history again in the Chicago Sky’s 84-71 loss to the Seattle Storm Sunday night.

Reese recorded 17 points and 14 rebounds with 4 steals.

It was her 13th double-double in a row, breaking the previous record of 12 set by Candace Parker across the 2009 and 2010 seasons.

Reese achieved the milestone at the 5:34 mark in the third quarter, recording her 11th point after an offensive rebound.

Last month, Reese broke the rookie double-double record and followed that up a week later by breaking the WNBA single season consecutive double-double record.

Angel Reese continues her historic campaign Wednesday at 11 a.m. against the Atllanta Dream.

Reese entered Sunday, the second odds favorite to win WNBA Rookie of the Year behind Caitlin Clark who recorded the first WNBA rookie triple-double in the Indiana Fever’s win over the New Yoek Liberty Saturday afternoon.

Both Reese and Clark will be teammates in the WNBA 2024 All-Star game on July 20th.

That game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. on WGNO and ABC affiliates.
