METAIRIE, La. (WGNO) — Country Day and St. Martin’s faced off Friday afternoon to add another dramatic chapter to their basketball rivalry.
The Cajuns needed double overtime to edge the Saints in a two-point win back in December, and Feb. 9’s matchup saw more drama.
Country Day was down one-point with seconds left in the fourth quarter, but Brennan White nailed a corner-three to take the lead, and St. Martin’s fouled White on the play.
The sophomore finished the four-point play and scored most of his points beyond the arc, making four threes in the game.
K.B. Brewer lead all scorers with 29 points, and the Cajuns won 70-67.
Up next, Country Day will host Slidell on Feb. 12.
