NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – The New Orleans Catholic League added John Curtis to the fold, and now may be adding Zephyr Field.
Representatives of the league, the Zephyrs, and the Superdome Commission will meet early next week to discuss playing football at the facility. One of the issues, who pays for the field, if it needs to be replaced.
The field would lay out down the left field line. The visitors’ bench would be on the second base side, the home team on the third base side.
The majority of games would be played on Friday nights. Typically, Catholic League schools are forced to play games on Saturday and Saturday nights.
Discussions have been ongoing for weeks.
